Band has been finalized!
Well, I'm happy to inform you that auditions are completed, and I've assembled my new band! On lead guitar, say hello to Dan Miller.......on bass guitar, playing electric and upright, Craig Fluto.....and, as you already knew, Darin Karnes on drums. One of the best parts, as well as one of the key considerations for hiring them, is that they all can sing harmony vocals! They have all been learning the music off of my first two albums, and we will begin rehearsals and gigging very soon. Once we tighten up, obtain representation, etc., then it's on!

I'm gonna have a little baby BOY!!!
I know I just sent another blog, but this information had to be in a separate one!
As many of you know (and many of you don't), Amy Christl and I are expecting, with a due date of January 28, 2010! We just had our first ultrasound yesterday, and found out that we are having a little boy! I am so excited, and this is my first child. God is certainly blessing me in so many ways. Amy and I have a HUGE October coming up, as we are getting MARRIED on October 30th, and we're closing on a house on October 16th!
Just like one of my favorite t-shirts says...."Life Is Good."

As many of you know (and many of you don't), Amy Christl and I are expecting, with a due date of January 28, 2010! We just had our first ultrasound yesterday, and found out that we are having a little boy! I am so excited, and this is my first child. God is certainly blessing me in so many ways. Amy and I have a HUGE October coming up, as we are getting MARRIED on October 30th, and we're closing on a house on October 16th!
Just like one of my favorite t-shirts says...."Life Is Good."

State of the "Eldon Johnson" Union Address
Hello there, friends and fans!
I figured I would take a few minutes and catch you up on what's been happening in Eldon-land lately!
My second album, "The Other Side" has been out about 2 months now, and I am getting some fantastic feedback on it. My next step is to finalize my band, get us good and tightened up, and then obtain representation for booking shows. We'll start with mostly weekend gigs, and then progress to playing as often as we can. Yes, this would require a change in my career as a physical therapist, but you have to follow what you love, am I right?!
I am in the process of creating a much larger online presence, and this has been occupying a lot of my time, lately. If you are reading this blog, I would really, really appreciate it if you would "add me" or "follow me" on social networks such as Facebook (www.facebook.com/eldonjohnsonmusic), MySpace (www.myspace.com/eldonjohnson), and twitter (www.twitter.com/eldonjohnson). Also, sign up for my mailing list, which you can do directly on the front page of my website, at www.eldonjohnson.net. When I start playing more frequently with the band, you are certainly going to want to know where we're at!
For those of you who voted for me in the Land Shark Rocks! competition--thank you!! Unfortunately, I did not get selected to move on to the final round of the contest, which would have taken me to Austin, TX for a live "Battle of the Bands." We came very close on that one!
I hope this finds you doing well, and that you are having a great summer. I am ready for fall.......and FOOTBALL IS FINALLY HERE!!!
